A former Senior Penguin Aquarist at Boston’s prestigous New England Aquarium, Dyan deNapoli has taken her passion for penguins on the road as The Penguin Lady. Praised as a passionate and inspiring speaker, Dyan truly loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for penguins with audiences of all ages. Frequently sought after for her penguin expertise, she has appeared on numerous television and radio shows worldwide, including CNN’s Situation Room, the BBC, CBC-Radio Canada and Sierra Club Radio. Her award-winning book, THE GREAT PENGUIN RESCUE, is a compelling first-person account of the groundbreaking rescue of 40,000 penguins from an oil spill in South Africa. Dyan served as a rehabilitation supervisor during this historic event, which still stands as the largest and most successful animal rescue ever undertaken. Her book was a Silver Award Winner in the 2011 Nautilus Book Awards, was selected as a “Must-Read” Book in the 2011 Massachusetts Book Awards, and was named “One of the best sci-tech books of 2010” by Library Journal.
Dyan is available for author visits, or for general presentations about penguin biology, behavior and conservation. With penguin populations in rapid decline, her mission is to raise awareness and funding to protect these engaging seabirds – to that end, she donates 20% of the proceeds from her book and from every appearance to penguin rescue, research and conservation groups.

The shift they want to make is very big, with the intention to teach the world LOVE, and Oneness. A difficult undertaking for any individual, but it will never occur to an Indigo that they can’t do it. Unless, they are forced to surrender their thoughts and ideas to that of someone else. Indigos are unique souls, and need assistance, but more importantly support to develop their gifts. Indigo Zen specializes in numerous methodologies that offers this guidance. Through the creation & implementation of an individualized plan, the Indigo will activate the process of healing, enlightenment, inspiration, and empowerment within themselves. This is demonstrated through an increase in socially appropriate behaviors, such as; self-regulation, coping & social skills, and language development, in particular, functional communication. Once this connection is created, there is a decrease in rigidity, impulsivity, and isolation. The negativity is replaced with positive affirmations of love & light. Indigo Zen was created for individuals who do not fit into societies standard structure. Learners of all ages have the opportunity to take ownership of their learning by studying mathematics on their own terms through their preferred learning styles. Elementary, middle school, and high school students focus on patterns and connections using models. Some call us The Visual Tutor. Clients have come from small businesses to interpret a job task, corporations to complete an exam or understand an assignment, colleges to pass a course, and K-12 classrooms to catch up or receive additional challenges.
